The last Amplified House Show is on this Saturday May 1st from 6-10pm with an extended show, special guests and all the big tunes from DJ Amp himself.
To enjoy the present we take a trip to the past and let Amp sum it up in his own words…
“My up fm career began hosting the very first saturday night show 8-10pm way back over 8 years ago! I did a couple of random slots here and there and finally settled a couple of weeks later hosting the amplified sunday show from 4-6pm. Back then times were a little hectic to say the least and it was nothing unusual to rock up to the studio at the end of a massive thursday night!!! In those days it was all hardhouse and the show went on for just under 3 years. Like all good things the end came soon enough and I took some time out from the frantic lifestyle and left the airwaves for a couple of years. The radio never left me however and the time came one day to make my return. The amplified house show was born from 6-8 on a tuesday evening but this time it was all about the house music! Electro had kinda just turned up on the scene and it was quite an exciting time to re-enter the world of radio.
Over the years there has been mayhem and madness, some solid sets laid down and I’ve meet some fantastic people along the way. It’s been an absolute blast entertaining you all and while it’s sad to be leaving I’m more than confident UP will keep you guys dancing into the unforseeable future. Please join me this Saturday from 6pm onwards as I say farewell and mix you guys up into a frenzy with my take on house music the way it should be played, AMPLIFIED!”
