Timmy Schumacher’s music video for his tune ‘Sunrise (Remix)’ ft Jason Kerrison from Opshop has been nominated for ‘Best Electronic Video’ at the Juice TV music video awards.
You know Timmy as UPFM’s Thursday drive host. He has been representing NZ music for over 15 years, producing and djing. Keep your eyes peeled over the next few months as he kicks into gear with new singles spanning rock, electro, breaks and bassline house. In the works also, more dope colabs with vocalists such as Eden Mulholland (Motocade) and Kirsten Morelle (ex Golden Horse, now solo).
This clip was directed, shot and edited by Marc Swadel, who has created over 100 music clips here and abroad for the likes of Eagles of Death Metal and Iggy Pop and toured indie festivals around the world as DOP and cameraman for MTV Europe’s ‘Rock Feedback Show’.
He was a DOP and cameraman on the internationally acclaimed documentary ‘All Tomorrows Parties’ which covered the festival of the same name and followed it’s anomalous legacy showcasing indie bands throughout America, The UK and Australia at abandoned Holiday Camps.
Curators on the festival have included : The Flaming Lips, The Breeders, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Mike Patton & Melvins, My Bloody Valentine, Explosions In The Sky, Pitchfork Media, Portishead, Dirty Three, Sonic Youth, The Shins, Sleater Kinney, Dinosaur Jr., Devendra Banhart, Mudhoney, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Mars Volta, Vincent Gallo, Slint, Jake & Dinos Chapman, Stephen Malkmus, Mogwai, Tortoise, Shellac, Autechre, Modest Mouse, and Simpsons’ creator Matt Groening.
This unique clip was shot over one week in Japan in August 2009 on digital video. It follows the story of a group of friends who meet up and go out clubbing in Tokyo.
