Menu Mag hosted it’s first ever MENU MAG DJ BATTLE with 21 DJs over 5 weeks competing to be number one.
On 31st of March 5 DJs performed 30 minute sets, with the 2 finalists mixing 15 minutes each back to back. It was a very hard call, but in the end Jess Gaines aka Gainzy took out first place with banging hard dance tunes, flawless mixing, great energy and perfect levels.
Jess took away a HUGE prize pack consisting of:
A double page spread in Menu Mag, A professional DJ photo shoot, Custom made ear plugs, Hair cut, A vodka Tommy Gun, Ayesap clothing, a 1 month radio show on UPFM & bar tab plus more totally over $1500.

Round by round:
Round one saw Allen Squeak tear through to the finals with 3 CDJs and perfectly timed mixes.
Round two saw Jesse McNeil with his Ibiza sound driving him through to the next round.
Round three was a tough one drum n bass vs breaks and our judges had to send both Audio Smith and Dosage through.
Round four saw Gainzy, the only girl in the entire competition take our final place.
