WE DONT LOVE BAD NEWS…… “We Love Sounds” promoters are sorry to announce that the artists Underworld and Crookers cannot join the bill in Auckland. As a result of this development it has been deemed inappropriate to hold the event at Trusts Stadium Arena, Waitakere, on Friday 4th June.

The “We Love Sounds” show in Perth, scheduled for the same weekend as Auckland, was forced to cancel last week; two of the headline acts due in Auckland, Underworld and Crookers, have been cancelled in Perth and due to the introduction of last minute logistic complications associated with the tour they cannot make it to the Auckland event. Every possible avenue has been exhausted by the New Zealand promoters, We Love Sounds in Australia and artist representatives to find a solution to bring both artists straight to New Zealand, however it has proved unfeasible.As such the promoters feel that presenting the show in the current venue without the acts is both unrealistic and would be short-changing fans. For this reason the event has been moved to K -rd venues Studio and Ink/Coherent on the original date of 4 June.
Promoter Toby Burrows says. “We are truly devastated to have to change the show at such short notice. We have been working on it for months and had a phenomenal event prepared. The hype and support has been massive and we were well on track for a sell out show. Our aim now is to take what we have, turn it around and offer something as equally innovative for the fans and artists and we have been working to piece this new show together”.
“Because of the cancelations we don’t expect fans to pay $95 or more for a ticket to the festival. Because of this we have come up with a partial refund offer for people who still want to attend the show. It will reduce the ticket price to $60.”
A Strong line up of acts remains in place with internationals Steve Aoki and Laidback Luke confirmed to headline. They will be accompanied by the full original bill of local artists including Minuit, Kids of 88 and P Money.
Festival Director Paxton Talbot says “ firstly i’m gutted about losing Underworld and Crookers, we’ve been trying to get the ball rolling again on them for a few days and it came to a point where we could all see that it just wasn’t going to be feasible; we have been feeling pretty miserable about it, for personal reasons as well as for the fans, but then thought we still have a great show and a great opportunity to demonstrate our skill at throwing parties – .We now have a model to work with that’s not dissimilar to the original idea for We Love Sounds and certainly something we’ll see from wls in the future, slamming parties across multiple venues, rooms and spaces; Its going to be an incredible night and we are pumped that Aoki and Laidback Luke will be joining the bill that is packed with a host of NZ’s hottest talent at the moment”.

New Show and Refund Details: For fans that wish to attend the alternative show, please retain your ticket.
Capacity is limited and current ticket holders will receive priority over any new purchases. Current ticket-holders who attend the new show will receive a refund of the difference between what they paid for their current ticket and $60. These refunds will be available at Studio on the 4th June from 8pm to 4am only.
Obtaining a full refund will be on offer immediately until Thursday 3rd June at 9pm. Please go back to point of purchase to claim your refund. Pre sales for the show on Friday will go on sale via the We Love Sounds Auckland facebook at 9am on Friday 4th June.
All VIP admission tickets and upgrades will be refunded, if VIP customers would like to come to the new show please contact us in writing before Thursday 3rdJune 9pm to guarantee your new ticket.
