If music was an animal, what would it be and why?

Chameleon – Because it can reflect is environment

If you had a banana, 2 left ankle socks and a dwarf, where would you take them and what would you do?

I would eat the banana because its my favourite fruit and put the socks on the dwarf and train him to be my butler.

What has been your biggest inspiration during your dance music career?

The reactions from people in the crowd I get to play to.
Meeting and supporting Paul van Dyk – He is a true professional and talented artist.

If music was an animal, what would it be and why?

Albatross – the wing span reminds me of how many different genres there are in today’s EDM scene.

If you had a banana, 2 left ankle socks and a dwarf, where would you take them and what would you do?

I’d take them to Oxygen and eat the banana, use the socks as head bands and put the dwarf on stage.

What has been your biggest inspiration during your dance music career?

Sasha – Global Underground cd’s were a huge inspiration in my musical direction and Paul van Dyk was a DJ I looked up too and still do today.

Kurt Erickson

Born on the sunny shores of California, Auckland has been home for DJ Kurt Erickson since 1999.

Since he began playing 12 years ago, Kurt has firmly established himself as one of Auckland’s well respected Trance DJs, and has also crossed the borders of Progressive, Tech House and Techno.

Sought after for clubs and events throughout Auckland, Melbourne has also played host to Kurt’s upfront and perfectionist approach to mixing and tune selection.

As one half of ‘Kovak’ with Mike V, they produce their monthly ‘Phonic sessions with Kovak’ podcast on iTunes which has gained great popularity with more discerning music lovers in the clubbing community. Although newly formed, they are regular additions to numerous events and club nights throughout Auckland.

Kurt brings a largely unrivalled energy and expression to the decks and is respected in both the intimate underground and ‘big room’ settings in an ever expanding Auckland scene.

International support: Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Above & Beyond, Sander Kleinenberg, Kyau & Albert, Cosmic Gate, Judge Jules, John 00 Fleming, Danny Howells, Satoshi Tomei to name a few.
