If music was an animal, what would it be and why?

Blue whale, bringing bassweight!

If you had a banana, 2 left ankle socks and a dwarf, where would you take them and what would you do?

Firstly i’d eat the banana cause bananas are awesome and i’m really hungry, i’d probably offer some to the dwarf as long as he(or she) was cool. Socks i’d sell on trade me cos i’m broke and i wanna buy some more records.

What has been your biggest inspiration during your dance music career?

Seeing DJ’s/producers like Spor and Skream making it big in the scene from pure hard work and pushing new sounds in their respective genres. Also the great response from punters at local gigs going hard to great kiwi DJ’s

Been rather passionate about all forms of music for my entire life, got into Dubstep and DJing in 2008 and been hooked ever since. Been a regular contributor at local Dubstep shows in the Auckland area, also been lucky enough to support 2 of my favourite international acts, DJ Pinch and Silkie.

What has been your biggest inspiration during your dance music career?

I would have to say 31st March and 1st April 2011, when the Digital Mystikz (Mala + Coki) played Wellington and Auckland. Everyone at the nights was feeling it, vibes were wicked. Flying down to Wellington to support two of my favourite producers, connecting with new people, playing/listening to music I love and then flying back up to Auckland the next morning to do it all again.

I started spinning tunes in 2008. I play bass heavy music, whether it be dubstep, drum & bass, techno or any of the mutations that have come about from those styles, to be honest I’ll play nearly anything as long as there is bass! I like to build sets from tunes at similar tempos rather than worry about genres.

Played regularly at Wheel, Thursday Rollout and a number of one off nights at Fu/Zen, and popped up a few times for dubstep/bass music nights at other clubs (Carpark, Be Club, 4:20 and so on). Travelled down to Wellington to support Mala & Coki from the UK.
