Criminal Cuts first began on Tuesday 19-03-02 a few weeks after the launch of UP FM. It is presented, researched and developed by Nick Collings.
The main focus of Criminal Cuts is to bring music, events, gossip, discussion and giveaways to an audience of avid dance-music enthusiasts.
Nick prides himself on not being pigeonholed into one style of music… “I simply bring and exhibit the best and most upfront material I can (cos any old radio station can play the hits)”.
As a former record store owner and DJ, Nick has the knowledge, contacts and experience to lead the way whether it be House, Electro, Trance, Progressive, Hard House, Hardcore, Drum & Bass or ….! “As much as possible I aim to push New Zealand made dance music, giving bedroom producers an outlet for their music to be heard. I am trying to further the scene and get more people into it, through providing full playlists right here and by setting up several familiar segments that the UP FM listeners can participate in.
