If music was an animal, what would it be and why?

A Centaur – Why? Because music can be almost anything you want it to be, it can take you to places in only the way that music can, while you can take yourself off to a complete phantasy world and experience everything music has to offer in so many different ways, shapes or forms… That’s pretty deep huh?

If you had a banana, 2 left ankle socks and a dwarf, where would you take them and what would you do?

I would keep them in storage just incase I were to ever find myself in jail, I would make myself the most killer prison shank out of the banana and socks while keeping the dwarf on a chain to use him as a distraction as I fight my way to Alpha dominance over the prison.

What has been your biggest inspiration during your dance music career?

Kernkraft 4000 – Zombie Nation, after hearing that track and the masses chanting it at Gatecrasher in New Castle (England) when my cousins snuck me in when I was 15 it inspired me to “BE THAT GUY!”

A brief DJ Bio

At the tender age of 15 I was introduced to the DJing world, mainly from the influences of the old classic underage clubs, Icon and Platinum104 and of course the reigning event at the time, “The Brain”. Inspired by the happy hardcore, hard house and trance classics I was hearing, I decided to save up and purchase my first set of decks a mixer, Numark Belt Drives (not knowing anything about DJing equipment, the most affordable at the time would do), also a Numark DMX-900Pro mixer which I still have to this day. I had 6 pieces of vinyl, 5 hard house and a scratch sample record, I decided to experiment, found life hard with the equipment I had, after getting some advice over the coming year from people in the scene I upgraded to my first set of cdj1000s and haven’t looked back (despite having some 1200s still sitting on the side of them for the classic nostalgia days). I had a 2 year break from mixing and got convinced to get back into it by my good homie Dave (The David Lusion) and progressed from there.

If music was an animal, what would it be and why?

A parrot because you can make it sound different & everyone can learn to understand it.

If you had a banana, 2 left ankle socks and a dwarf, where would you take them and what would you do?

I’d take them to the circus, staple the banana to the dwarf’s nose, the socks to his ears and pass them off as Disney character.

What has been your biggest inspiration during your dance music career?

Everyone from Platinum/Icon 104 really painted my path, also the Ali-G movie after which I became hooked to UK Garage.

A brief DJ Bio

I grew up listening to happy hardcore, I got to MC for DJ Hixxy when he was in NZ at a Bonkers event that begin my youthful highlight.  I swayed away from MCing and put my focus into DJing. I learnt to DJ mixing hard house. Started off on Stanton belt drives, after a few years of painful practice, I finally gathered the coin for some Technics 1200′s. At this point I switched my attention to bass line house & speed garage, and have been playing these genres any chance I’ve had. I like most genres and appreciate a good track when I hear one. I do believe that DJs should specialize in genres/sub genres. My choices being bouncy electro, with dirty bass lines fit for shuffling and tectonic dancing, alongside big warper tunes from the bass line/garage world! I aim to keep my mixing as clean as possible with good variety in mix style to keep every mix interesting and unique. I’m a huge fan of cheesy lyrics that break down into hard hitting beats! I love a good crowd, no matter its size, and love the energy I see on a dance floor with people that love good music and can appreciate a DJs mixing!
